This blog is about 3 stories.

1. The start-up year for a very different sort of Graduate School of Education. It's a tiny subset of...
2. ...The much larger, national effort to transform teaching and teachers. That is a big subset of...
3. ...A multi-kajillion-dollar effort to improve the ludicrous odds (7% or so) of a poor kid ever getting a college diploma.

Kickboard Starter Accounts

Kickboard is a product to have one place for data: reading growth, behavior, parent communication, etc — all on the same dashboard. Some individual teachers use it; some whole schools use it, particularly charters.

Jen, their CEO, emailed me to say:

We’re launching our Starter Accounts – free Kickboard accounts for individuals and small teams of teachers. On Monday, November 19, I’ll be doing an exclusive sneak-peek of the Starter Accounts.

If you’re interested in the webinar, go here.

Kickboard has a blog, too, which mostly focuses on school culture. Here’s an example, from a Ohio charter school where kids felt teachers were criticizing them way too much.
